Personal project from during my studies at Masaryk University.
My major required good knowledge of institutional art and art history. I have been always naturally inclined towards drawing as a medium, and studiying this particular major required more of an artistic use of the said medium. Therefore this sillier side of drawing all kinds of beasts lied unused during the process.
As a break from my university projects I began to draw all sorts of monsters and whatever I wanted to, naming it all my Ždygr project.
When I started out I just reveled in the fact I could draw any sort of creature I wanted. Newer work tends to be more pensive, drawing inspiration from dreams or day-to-day life.
